My name is Cale Brown, and I started Bird Antics about 3 years ago
I always loved clothes, so I learned to sew, pattern, and design them myself. Through that process, people started to show interest, and I started selling the one-of-one hoodies I was making. Fast forward to today, and I’m designing and getting my pieces mass-produced.
When I started Bird Antics, everyone would tell me, “You need an ethos.” Or, " What does Bird Antics mean? Because if it doesn’t have meaning, it will fail.” But I just wanted to make stuff that I liked simply because I liked it, or I thought it was cool. And from holding that mindset throughout the life span of Bird Antics, I sort of found that ethos: Not everything has to have some deep meaning, it can just be, because you like it. Make what you want to make, do what you want to do, because you simply want to. If you do these things genuinely, I think you win regardless if you fail.
